System requirements

Before installing Prestashop, please check your server environment is correctly configured and supports the following as a minimum;

• Linux, Unix, or Windows
• Apache Web server
• PHP 5.0 or later. (You may have to activate PHP 5 on your hosting service.)
• MySQL 4.1.14 or later
• GD Library Support ***

*** Tip: Be aware that if you do not have GD support, when you come to add products, you will be able to add the key product information but not the product images images. When you click “save image” you will probably find the prestashop menus across the top will remain on view but the rest of the page dissapears.
